1968 corvette with 350 driven by a 4 speed muncie transmission, runs and drives good. This would be a perfect project car for someone looking to rebuild. In 2002 I replaced the clutch, Gas tank, leaf spring, rear struts, rear wheel hubs, shocks, all center guages, and new leather seats. Did not replace carpet because the t-tops leak water and I never got around to replacing the rubber seals. While I was replacing the gas tank I noticed that the rear end has had some body work done to it. Don't know what happend but probably a minor wreck to the rear. The engine was swithced with the 350 before I bought the car and runs good. I have never had a problem with it. It does take some time to get running when starting cold, but just needs a carb adjustment. Needs to be repainted, has scratches in various spots and one t-top is peeling paint. None of the headlights or wiper doors are hooked to vaccum and needs some parts to get working. The frame has one rust spot on it at the right rear wheel. In all this corvette is in decent working condition for a 40 year old car thats never been rebuilt, perfect for someone looking for a project! July 13, 2008 |
